Breast Pad
From BirthWiki
Breast pads are absorbent pads used to protect clothing against leaking milk. Breast pads are also called nursing pads. There are two kinds of breast pads, disposable and reusable. There are several things to consider when choosing breast pads.
Disposable Pads
When choosing disposable pads, you will need to think about how much absorbency you need. Several brands have light, medium and heavy. Usually the higher the absorbency, the bulkier the pad. Some brands of disposable breast pads have a sticky back to hold the pad in place. There are also some disposable breast pads that have plastic backing and these can cause yeast infections because the nipples stay wet. Wet pads are a breeding ground for bacteria so it's best to buy disposable pads without plastic backing and with wicking to pull moisture away from the nipples. Pads should also be changed frequently.

Reusable Pads
Reusable pads are machine washable and economical and better for the environment. They are usually made of cotton but some are made of hemp or wool. There are also non absorbent silicone pads that prevent leaks by applying pressure to the nipple. Reusable pads tend to be softer and more contoured than disposable pads.
